Crock pot chicken adobo recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 shallots, chopped

  • 6 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • Dash of cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 3 bay leaves

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup vinegar of your choice (Rice, white, or Apple cider worked well so far)

  • 2 pounds chicken (I prefer thighs)

 

 

1. Toss first 6 dry ingredients into the pot

2. Add equal parts of soy sauce and vinegar ( 1/2 : 1/2 ) into the pot.

3. Add Chicken meat and mix them well

4. Cover and cook 6 hours on “low” heat setting

5. Serve over rice and garnish with chopped green onion!
